Club cricket coaching and support across Essex
Most clubs start with one age group that needs a coach. It grows from there: All Stars and Dynamos run for you, 1:1s at your ground, coach development and a plan for your colts section. Some clubs ask us to run their whole coaching programme.

Far more than coaching
Everything below is something we already do for a club in Essex. Pick one to start with.

Age-group coaching
Colts coaching across age groups, adult sessions and skills clinics, delivered by ECB-qualified coaches. Cover one gap, or let us run the whole programme.
All Stars and Dynamos, run for you
We register, plan and deliver the ECB national programmes at your club and take the admin off your volunteers.
1:1 and small group at your club
Your own young players, coached at your ground using your facilities, so families only pay for the coach.
Colts and community development
Links with local schools to bring children into the club, a review of your colts section and a plan to grow the number of age groups.
Funding guidance
Help finding and applying for grants and fundraising, so the plan is affordable.
Coach development
Coaching the coach: mentoring, observation and feedback for your club coaches, plus CPD workshops.
Shared coaching plans
Access to Centurion’s coaching plans: age-group sessions and indoor and outdoor programmes your coaches can run.
Safeguarding and accreditation
Support with Clubmark, Safe Hands, safeguarding standards and risk assessments.
All Stars and Dynamos, run for you
All Stars (ages 5 to 8) and Dynamos (ages 8 to 11) are the ECB's national programmes for getting children into cricket, with a set eight-week curriculum and ECB lesson plans. Clubs are encouraged to run them, and the admin is heavy.
- We plan and deliver the sessions with trained, DBS-checked coaches
- We handle the programme admin so your volunteers can concentrate on club coaching
- Children who finish the programme have a clear next step into your colts section
